About Lauki Kofta Curry Recipe

Lauki Kofta Curry

Ingredients to make Lauki Kofta Curry

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup onion paste
  • 1 small bottle ground
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Fresh coriander 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp garlic ginger paste
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri mirch 1 tsp
  • gram flour 1 cup
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Corriender powder 2 tsp

How to make Lauki Kofta Curry

  1. PEEL 1 SMALL BOTTLEGOURD
  2. GRATE THE BOTTLEGOURD, SQUEEZE OUT THE EXCESS WATER
  3. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF CUMIN SEEDS, RED CHILL & TURMERIC POWDER
  4. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR, MIX WELL
  5. MAKE A THICK DOUGH LIKE THIS, DEEP FRY SMALL BALLS OF DOUGH IN HOT OIL
  6. FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP ALL OVER
  7. KOFTAS ARE READY, TAKE OFF HEAT & SET ASIDE
  8. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 2 BAY LEAVES, 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, 1 TSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, SAUTE
  9. ADD 1 CUP ONION PASTE, SAUTE TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  10. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF TURMERIC, CORIANDER, RED CHILLI & GARAM MASALA POWDERS
  11. ADD 1 TSP KASHMIRI MIRCH POWDER, 1 CUP TOMATO PUREE, SAUTE ON MEDIUM HEAT TILL THE MASALA LEAVES OIL
  12. ADD 4 CUPS OF WATER
  13. ADD SALT TO TASTE, THE FRIED KOFTAS
  14. COVER & COOK FOR 5-10 MINS
  15. SPRINKLE 2 TBSP CHOPPED FRESH CORIANDER
  16. SERVE HOT
