About Paneer Bhurji Gravy Recipe

Paneer bhurji is normally dry but we love this gravy version of paneer bhurji which is made very simply.

Paneer Bhurji Gravy

Ingredients to make Paneer Bhurji Gravy

  • cottage cheese/Paneer 1 cup
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Asafetida 1/4 tsp
  • onion 1 big
  • tomato 1 big
  • tomato puree 1 cup
  • ginger,garlic,chilli paste 1 tsp
  • turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • Kasoori methi 1/2 tsp
  • cream/malai 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander 2 tbsp

How to make Paneer Bhurji Gravy

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP CUMIN SEEDS
  2. ADD 1/4 TSP ASAFOETIDA, 1 CHOPPED ONION, SAUTE
  3. ADD 1 TSP GINGER-GARLIC-GREEN CHILLI PASTE, SAUTE TILL BROWN
  4. ADD 1 CHOPPED
  5. ADD 1 CHOPPED TOMATO, SALT, 1/4 TSP TURMERIC, MIX & COOK TILL SOFT
  6. ADD 1 CUP TOMATO PUREE, COOK TILL THE MASALA LEAVES OIL
  7. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF CORIANDER & RED CHILLI POWDERS, SAUTE FOR 1 MINUTE
  8. ADD 2 TBSP BEATEN CREAM, MIX ON SLOW HEAT
  9. ADD 1 CUP CRUMBLED COTTAGE CHEESE, STIR IN GENTLY
  10. ADD 1/2 EACH OF KASOORI METHI & GARAM MASALA
  11. ADD SOME CHOPPED FRESH CORIANDER, TAKE OFF HEAT
