About Dry fruit barfi Recipe

This recipe is taught by my mother who always prepares on navratri fastings

Dry fruit barfi

Ingredients to make Dry fruit barfi

  • Khova - 200 grms
  • sugar - 11/2 cups
  • ghee - 1/4 cup
  • Milk powder - 2tb.sp
  • Chopped badam - 1cup
  • Chopped cashews - 1/2cup
  • Chopped dates - 1/2 cup

How to make Dry fruit barfi

  1. In a hot pan add ghee and fry dry fruits one by one. Keep it aside.
  2. Add khova to the kadai , when it melts add sugar and milk powder. Stir continuously.
  3. Add remaining little by little in between.
  4. When it forms like a lump add dry fruits to it.
  5. Mix well and pour on a greased tray.
  6. Mark the lines while it's hot with whatever shapes you desire and separate them once it cools down
  7. Energy filled dry fruits bufri gives you strength during fasting

My Tip:

Mark the lines while its hot, otherwise the pieces wont be neat and it will break into pieces.
