Ingredients to make Suji urad dal idli

  • 2 cup suji
  • 1 cup urad dal, skinless
  • water 1.5 cup
  • salt 1 tsp
  • oil to grease the idli moulds

How to make Suji urad dal idli

  1. Soak the urad dal for 5 hrs. After this time make a paste of this dal.
  2. To it add suji, water and salt. Keep it to ferment for the whole night.
  3. The next day, add some water, about half or less than half cup of water.
  4. Grease the idli moulds and fill them with this batter. Steam and cook for 13-15 mins.
  5. Demould and enjoy!
