Everytime I try a Britannia Tutti Fruitti cake, I'm overwhelmed with childhood memories, until I learned to make a Tutti fruitti Cake at home. This has been my go to cake ever since.

Low Fat Tutti Fruitti Cake

Ingredients to make Low Fat Tutti Fruitti Cake

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup tutti fruiti mixed with 1 TBSP flour
  • 1 TSP baking powder, ½ TSP baking soda
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 ¼ TBSP vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

How to make Low Fat Tutti Fruitti Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F or 180 degree C
  2. Grease a pan with oil and then dust with flour
  3. Sieve the flour into a bowl with baking soda, baking powder and salt
  4. Add milk, vinegar, vanilla extract and oil into the flour. Mix enough so that the mixture blends in. Don't over mix
  5. Gently fold in the tutti fruitti. Let the batter sit aside for 15 minutes.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 mins until a skewer inserted comes out clean when it is baked completely.
