About Aam ras puri Recipe

A very famous dish of Gujrat.

Aam ras puri

Ingredients to make Aam ras puri

  • For the aam ras:
  • 2 big sized mangoes
  • 1 tsp elaichi powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • For the puris:
  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
  • oil as required
  • 1 pinch of sugar

How to make Aam ras puri

  1. To prepare the aam ras, take the mangoes, elaichi powder, milk and sugar in a mixer jar and blend it well. Then keep this mixture in the refrigerator to keep it chilled.
  2. To prepare the puris, take a bowl and mix in the flour, oil, salt, sugar, turmeric and red chilli powder, sugar, cumin seeds with water to form a dough. Keep this dough aside for a while.
  3. Then make small dough balls and roll into puris, then fry these puris in hot oil.
  4. Serve the hot puris and chilled aam ras together.

My Tip:

Aam ras tastes best when serve chilled.
