ABOUT Chhole chana masala RECIPE

Chana Masala (Chole Chana Masala), a delicious chana curry from Punjabi cuisine is popular in all over India. A spicy and tempting curry is prepared from white chickpeas (kabuli chana), tomatoes, onion and basic Indian spices and best enjoyed with bhatura (deep fried puffed Indian bread)

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1,1/2 cup kabuli chana/ chhole
  2. 3tablespoon oil
  3. curry leaves
  4. two NOS bay leaves
  5. 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  6. one mace
  7. one big cardamom
  8. four small cardamom
  9. 1 cm cinnamon
  10. 5 close
  11. tablespoon ginger garlic Chili paste
  12. 3 midiam chopped onion
  13. 4 tomatoes paste
  14. 5 cashews
  15. 1 tsp Garam masala
  16. 1tsp tamarind paste
  17. 1 tsp kasuri methi powder
  18. 1TB SP chopped coriander

Instructions

  1. 1&1/2 CHHOLE CHANA , SOAK OVERNIGHT AND BOIL TILL 9-10 WHISTLES
  2. HEAT 3 TBSP OIL
  3. ADD CURRY LEAVES ,2 BEY LEAVES, 1/4 TSP CUMIN SEEDS
  4. 1MACE, 4 CARDAMOM, 1 BIG CARDAMOM, 1 CM CINNAMON,5 CLOVE
  5. 2 TBSP GINGER GARLIC CHILLY PASTE
  6. 1 BOWL CHOPPED ONION
  7. 5-6 NOS CASHEWS
  8. 1 BOWL TOMATO PASTE
  9. IN BOWL , SALT, 1 TSP RED CHILLY POWDER, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 1TSP CUMIN CORIANDER POWDER
  10. ADD WATER AND MAKE PASTE THEN ADD IN TO GRAVY
  11. 1 TSP GARAM MASALA, 1 TSP TEMRIN PASTE
  12. ADD BOILED CHHOLE
  13. 1 TSP KASURI METHI, 1TBSP CHOPPED CORIANDER
  14. REMOVE LEAVES AND KHADA MASALA
  15. CHHOLE IS READY TO BE SERVED.
