This dish is a usual North Indian dish with a different type of gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup white chana
  2. 2 onion chopped
  3. 2 tomatoes chopped
  4. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1 tbsp Oil
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1 tsp degi mirch powder
  9. 1 tbsp everest chana masala powder
  10. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  11. 1 tsp dhania powder
  12. 1 tsp amchoor powder
  13. 1 tbsp kasuri methi
  14. 1 tbsp coriander chopped


  1. Soak the chanas overnight. Next day pressure cook it for 3 whistle
  2. In a Kadai, add oil, fry onions and tomato and ginger, garlic paste, red chilli powder. Saute nicely till it turns pink in colour. Let it cool and grind into a smooth paste.
  3. In a cooker, add oil, fry kasturi methi then add the paste ( onions, tomatoes ) fry nicely till oil comes out then add garam masala, coriander chopped, coriander powder, amchoor, chana masala, deggi mirch and fry well till oil comes out.
  4. Then add the chana, salt, water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
