Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200g cubed Paneer
  2. 3 tbsp oil
  3. 1 bay leaf
  4. 1 onion finely chopped
  5. 2 big tomatoes finely chopped
  6. 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  7. 1 teaspoon salt
  8. 1 cup water
  9. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  10. one teaspoon kasuri methi
  11. To Roast and grind
  12. one teaspoon sesame seeds
  13. one teaspoon khus khus
  14. half teaspoon jeera
  15. 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  16. 3 cloves
  17. 1 inch cinnamon
  18. 1/4 teaspoon peppercorns
  19. 1 star anise
  20. 2 tbsp dry coconut or desiccated coconut
  21. 3 dry red Kashmiri chilli
  22. 2 cardamom seeds

Instructions

  1. DRY ROAST ALL THE INGREDIENTS MENTIONED UNDER TO GRIND SECTION ON LOW HEAT FOR 2 MINUTES
  2. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY
  3. GRIND TO FIND POWDER KEEP IT ASIDE
  4. HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND FRY THE PANEER CUBES KEEP IT ASIDE
  5. IN THE SAME TIME ADD BAY LEAF AND STIR FOR FEW SECONDS
  6. ADD ONIONS AND STIR UNTIL ONIONS ARE TRANSLUCENT
  7. ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND SAUTE UNTIL RAW AROMA GOES AWAY
  8. ADD CHOPPED TOMATOES AND MIX WELL
  9. COVER AND COOK UNTIL TOMATOES ARE TENDER
  10. MASH THE TOMATO WELL WITH THE HELP OF POTATO MASHER
  11. ADD 3 TBSP GROUND SPICE AND MIX WELL. RESERVE REMAINING IN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER FOR LATER USE
  12. ADD TURMERIC AND SALT. SAUTE UNTIL OIL STARTS LEAVING THE SIDES
  13. ADD WATER AND BRING TO BOIL
  14. ADD PANEER AND GENTLY MIX
  15. COVER AND SIMMER FOR 5 MINUTES
  16. ADD CRUSHED KASURI METHI AND MIX WELL
  17. SERVE HOT WITH ROTI OR RICE
