Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For donut
  2. 1 cup all purpose flour
  3. 2 teaspoon cocoa powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  5. 2.5 tbsp melted butter
  6. 1/3 cup sugar
  7. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
  8. 1 egg at room temperature
  9. 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  10. 1/3 cup buttermilk at room temperature
  11. Red food colouring
  12. 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  13. For Frosting
  14. 4 tbsp creamcheese at room temperature
  15. 3/4 Cup Powdered sugar
  16. 1/2 tbsp milk
  17. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 180, GREASE DONUT MOULD
  2. MIX FLOUR, BAKING SODA, SUGAR, COCOA POWDER, CINNAMON
  3. IN SEPERATE BOWL, WHISK EGG, BUTTERMILK AND VANILLA EXTRACT AND MELTED BUTTER
  4. ADD VINEGAR AND RED FOOD COLOURING. WHISK WELL
  5. GRADUALLY ADD DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX UNTIL JUST COMBINED
  6. ADD BATTER TO DONUT MOULDS FILLING 3/4 LEVEL
  7. BAKE FOR 10-11 MINUTES UNTIL LIGHTLY FIRM TO TOUCH
  8. ALLOW TO COOL FOR 30 MINUTES
  9. DEMOULD AND COOL COMPLETELY ON WIRE RACK
  10. IN A BOWL WHISK CREAMCHEESE, MILK, SUGAR AND VANILLA EXTRACT UNTIL WELL COMBINED
  11. DIP DONUTS IN CREAMCHEESE FROSTING. SET ASIDE FOR 15 MINUTES
  12. SERVE
