ABOUT Prawns Pulao RECIPE

Prawns pulao is a famous knokani dish which is easy to make and loved by everyone.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Prawns - 1/2cup
  2. Ginger/garlic/green chillie/cilantro/green cardamon,pepper corns/cinamon paste -3tablespoon
  3. Oil- 2tablepsoon
  4. ghee - 1tablespoon
  5. cumin seeds - 1tablepsoon
  6. Whole garam masala - Bay leaf-1, pepper corns -4 to 5
  7. Chopped veggies- Tomato-1/2, Green chillie - 1,Bell pepper - 1/2,Green peas -1/2cup, carrot -1/3cup
  8. onion -1/2
  9. rice - 1cup
  10. Brwon onion/ cilantro - For garnishing
  11. salt - as per taste
  12. cumin & corrainder powder - 2tablespoon
  13. water - as required

Instructions

  1. TAKE SOME GARLIC CLOVES,2GREEN CHILLIES,GINGER,BAY LEAF,PEPPER CORNS,GREEN CARDAMON,CILANTRO,CINAMON STICK
  2. GRIND IT BY ADDING LITTLE WATER . CHOPPED VEGGIES- BELL PEPPER-1/2CUP,CARROT-1/3CUP,TOMATO-1/2,CURRY LEAVES & 1ONION & GEEEN CHILLIE -1
  3. TAKE A PAN PUT GHEE IN IT & LET IT MELT
  4. THAN ADD OIL
  5. PUT CUMIN SEEDS,BAY LEAF & PEPPER CORNS
  6. ONCE THE CUMIN SEEDS CRACKLE ADD ONION TO IT & FEW CURRY LEAVES
  7. SAUTE IT WELL UNTILL THE ONION GETS TRANSLUCENT
  8. THAN ADD TOMATOES & PEAS TO IT
  9. THAN ADD ALL THE VEGGIES TO IT
  10. ADD PRAWNS TO IT & MIX IT WELL
  11. PUT SALT & CORRAINDER/CUMIN POWDER TO IT
  12. ADD GINGER/GARLIC PASTE TO IT
  13. ADD TURMERIC POWDER & MIX IT WELL
  14. COOK IT UNTILL THE OIL GETS SEPARATED FROM THE MASALA THAN ADD 1CUP WATER
  15. ONCE THE WATER STARTED BOILING PUT RICE IN IT
  16. MIX IT WELL
  17. LET IT COOK
  18. ONCE THE WATER DRYS PUT LID ON IT & LET IT SIMMER FOR ABOUT 8-10MINUTES
  19. DISH OUT PULAO & GARNISH IT WITH SOME FRIED ONIONS
  20. Prawns pulao is ready
  21. Enjoy it with simple raita & fried potato
