ABOUT Vattilappam RECIPE

Vattilappam is one of the authentic recipe here in South India (Tamilnadu) which is prepared in our festival time (Eid). Here i have added cocoa powder for a twist, if ypu don't want you can skip that. Enjoy this nutritious dessert with your kids

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. eggs : 5
  2. sugar : 15 tbsps
  3. coconut milk : 2 cups (about 250ml)
  4. Cocoa powder : 2 tsps
  5. Nuts : for garnishing
  6. ghee : 2 tsps

Instructions

  1. BEAT 5 EGGS & 15 TBSP SUGAR
  2. IN 2 CUPS THICK COCONUT MILK, ADD 2 TSP COCOA POWDER
  3. POUR THE COCONUT MILK INTO THE EGG MIXTURE
  4. STIR, ADD 2 TSP GHEE
  5. ADD 2 CUPS WATER INTO A PRESSURE COOKER
  6. PUT A STAND
  7. PLACE PUDDING MIXTURE ON IT, COVER
  8. PUT THE LID ON
  9. COOK FOR FIRST 10 MINS ON MEDIUM HEAT AND THEN FOR 15 MINS ON LOW HEAT
  10. CHECK IF PUDDING IS DONE
  11. COOL, CUT & SERVE, GARNISHED WITH DRY FRUITS
