Sindhi bhugal chawal with spilt bengal gram is a traditional sindhi pulao dish which tastes yummy with 'dal bhasar'- which is again prepared using split bengal gram in rich gravy. During my childhood days, I used to go gurudwara to have this pulao in langar prasad! This can also br served with mere curd or boondi raita or vegetable raita along with sindhi papad .I have made Medium spicy according to our taste buds! You can definitely add more chillies to make it more yummy.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups rice
  2. 2 bigger size onions
  3. 2 green chilly
  4. oil 2 tablespoon
  5. Soaked split bengal gram (chana daal)
  6. cumin seeds 1/4th teaspoon
  7. salt to taste
  8. Red chilly powder 1/2 Teaspoon
  9. ginger garlic paste 1/4th teaspoon
  10. water 2 cups

Instructions

  1. INGREDIENTS 2 CUPS RICE 2 ONIONS 2 GREEN CHILLY OIL 2 TBSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE 1/4 TSP CUMIN SEEDS 1/4 TSP SALT TO TASTE RED CHILLY POWDER 1/4 TSP WATER 2 CUPS
  2. HEAT OIL IN PRESSURE COOKER AND ADD CUMIN SEEDS.
  3. NOW ADD THINLY CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES AND ONIONS
  4. ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE. ALLOW IT TO COOK TILL COLOR OF ONION TURNS GOLDEN DARK BROWN
  5. NOW ADD REQUIRED WATER IN IT
  6. ADD SALT TO TASTE AND SOAKED CHANA DAL IN IT.
  7. ADD SOAKED RICE INTO IT
  8. ADD RED CHILLY POWDER AND ALLOW IT TO COOK OPEN FOR 2 MINUTES
  9. CLOSE THE LID AND ALLOW IT TO WHISTLE TWICE
  10. SWITCH OFF THE GAS,LET IT COOL DOWN. YOUR SINDHI BHUGAL CHAWAL WITH SPLIT BENGAL GRAM IS READY TO SERVE .
