ABOUT Methi Dhokla RECIPE

Loads of nutrients in form of greens makes this dhokla special for our little ones. Methi and coriander add colour and lovely flavour to the dhokla. Dosa batter can always be prepared in advance and stored for ready use.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Dosa batter - 3 cups
  2. Curd - 1 cup
  3. Chopped ginger - 1 tsp
  4. Chopped green chilies - 1 tsp
  5. Juice of 1/2 lemon
  6. Chopped methi /fenugreek leaves - 1/2 cup
  7. Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Baking soda - 1 pinch
  10. For Tempering :
  11. Oil - 1 tsp
  12. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  13. Hing - a pinch

Instructions

  1. ADD CHILIES, GINGER AND CURD TO DOSA BATTER
  2. ADD SALT AND BAKING SODA
  3. SQUEEZE JUICE OF HALF LEMON
  4. ADD CHOPPED METHI LEAVES AND MIX WELL
  5. GREASE A PLATE AND POUR THE DHOKLA BATTER
  6. STEAM IT FOR AROUND 10 MINUTES
  7. DHOKLA SHOULD BE SPONGY TO TOUCH
  8. SLICE DHOKLA AND ADD CORIANDER LEAVES ON TOP
  9. HEAT OIL IN A PAN, SPLUTTER MUSTARD SEEDS AND HING. POUR TEMPERING OVER DHOKLA
  10. SERVE DHOKLA WITH GREEN CHUTNEY
