ABOUT Chinese Idli RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Semolina 250 gms
  2. Curd 100 gms
  3. baking soda 1/2 tsp
  4. capsicum 1/2 chopped
  5. onions 1/2 chopped
  6. curry leaves 6-7
  7. mustard seeds 1 tsp
  8. Dry red chilies 2
  9. chili flakes 1/4 tsp
  10. pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  11. chat masala 1 tsp
  12. salt to taste
  13. oil 3 tbsp + additional for greasing
  14. 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. ADD 250 GMS SEMOLINA ,100 GMS CURD IN A BOWL
  2. ADD WATER AND MIX TO FORM IDLI BATTER CONSISTENCY
  3. ADD 1/2 TSP BAKING SODA. MIX WELL AND REST ASIDE FOR 45 MIN
  4. GREASE THE IDLI MOLDS WITH OIL
  5. ADD WATER IN POT
  6. POUR BATTER IN MOLDS
  7. MICROWAVE FOR 2-3 MIN OR TILL DONE
  8. DEMOULD THE IDLIS
  9. HEAT OIL IN A PAN,ADD CURRY LEAVES,MUSTARD SEED,DRY RED CHILIES. SPLUTTER MUSTARD SEEDS
  10. ADD ONIONS ,CAPSICUMS AND STIR FRY FOR 2-3 MINUTES
  11. ADD 4 TBSP TOMATO SAUCE AND MIX WELL
  12. ADD 2 TBSP CHILLY SAUCE AND 1 TBSP SOYA SAUCE. MIX WELL
  13. ADD SUGAR AND SALT. MIX WELL
  14. ADD IDLIS AND COAT WELL WITH SAUCES
  15. ADD 1/2 TSP PEPPER POWDER ,1/2 TSP CHILLY FLAKES AND MIX WELL
  16. ADD CHAT MASALA AND MIX
  17. SERVE WARM
