This type of Black Rice produce, is usually found in Manipur State on Burma Border, i made this fusion of Black Rice with milk and milkmaid together to give a sweet purplish colour which perhaps is unique in style

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Milk 3 packets reliance full cream
  2. Milkmaid 1/4th tin(means 100gm)
  3. sugar 1/4 cup
  4. Manipuri Black rice 1/4th cup
  5. water as required for the rice to soak
  6. Elachi 2-3 pods
  7. saunf 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. GOING TO MAKE MANIPURI BLACK RICE KHEER
  2. INGREDIENTS USED, I ALREADY SOAKED RICE FOR 20MIN IN WATER, COLOUR CHANGES TO PURPLE
  3. PLACE COOKER ON GAS, PUT MILK IN IT
  4. ADD BLACK RICE
  5. ADD SUGAR, MIX WELL
  6. ADD ELACHI PODS AND SAUNF TOGETHER
  7. CLOSE THE LID OF COOKER
  8. GIVE 2 WHISTLES ON HIGH FLAME AND THEN SIMMER FOR 1 MIN MORE
  9. OPEN THE LID, MIX WELL, MILK CONSISTENCY CHANGES AT THIS TIME, IT'S THICK NOW
  10. ADD MILKMAID TO IT, SIMMER FOR ANOTHER FEW MINUTES
  11. MANIPURI BLACK RICE KHEER IS READY, SERVE GARNISHED/DECORATED WITH CHOPPED ALMONDS AND ELACHI POD
