Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Raw rice - 1 cup
  2. rice flakes / Aval -1/2 cup
  3. salt to taste
  4. Baking/ cooking soda- 1/2 to 1tsp
  5. Sugar-1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. SOAK RICE FOR 2HOURS. POHA FOR JUST 30MINS
  2. FIRST ADD DRAINED POHA INTO A MIXER
  3. GRIND TO A FINE PASTE WITH LITTLE WATER
  4. ADD DRAINED RICE
  5. GRIND IT WELL
  6. TRANSFER BOTH TO A CONTAINER
  7. ADD COOKING SODA,SUGAR &SALT
  8. MIX IT WELL
  9. COVER AND KEEP IT OVERNIGHT TO FERMENT
  10. WELL FERMENTED BATTER
  11. IF THICK DILUTE IT
  12. POUR A LADLE OF BATTER INTO APPAM PAN AND SWIRL IT
  13. COVER AND COOK IT
  14. IT IS DONE
  15. ANOTHER ONE I DID THE SWIRL WITH BOTH HANDS
