Garlic flavoured tamarind rice is a fast tiffin recipe. It is very simple and tasty. It tastes little sour, so kids like it more.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cooked rice 2 cup
  2. Cooking oil 2 tsp
  3. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  4. Urad dal 1 tsp
  5. Red chilli 1
  6. Curry leaves few
  7. Groundnut few
  8. garlic cloves 8-10
  9. tamarind syrup 2 tsp
  10. Grated coconut 1/2 cup
  11. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. HEAT OIL, ADD MUSTARD SEEDS AND RED CHILLI, LET IT SPLUTTER
  2. ADD URAD DAL, LET IT FRY
  3. ADD GROUNDNUT, CURRY LEAVES AND GARLIC, FRY THEM
  4. ADD TAMARIND SYRUP
  5. ADD GRATED COCONUT AND COOKED RICE, MIX WELL IN LOW FLAME
  6. ADD SALT TO TASTE, MIX WELL AND SERVE
