Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gm gajar [carrots]
  2. 100 gm mava/khoya
  3. Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  4. Sugar as per taste
  5. Milk [as required]
  6. Nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Ghee 1 cup
  8. Dry fruits [cashew nuts, raisins] - as required


  1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel.
  2. Peel the carrots and grind them.
  3. Now the ground carrots and rest of the ingredients together into the ghee.
  4. Now mix everything and cook this on a medium flame.
  5. Stir occasionally.
  6. The halwa is ready to serve once it is cooked and thickened enough.
  7. Garnish with some more dry fruits on top and serve.
