ABOUT Amla Candy RECIPE

Amla candy is easy to make at home. Home made is healthy, home made is pure for sure! When you make amla candy, you also get amla nectar which is a healthy drink. This is the best way of adding amla to your diet. It takes five days to prepare the candy.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1/2 kg amla
  2. 250 gm sugar
  3. 2 tbsp powder sugar
  4. Water

Instructions

  1. ADD 1/2 KG WASHED GOOSEBERRIES (AMLA) IN 1 LITRE BOILING WATER
  2. LET IT BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES
  3. OFF THE HEAT AND LET THE FRUIT SIT IN HOT WATER FOR ANOTHER FIVE MINUTES
  4. STRAIN THE WATER
  5. SEPARATE THE AMLA INTO EQUAL SLICES & DISCARD THE STONE
  6. ADD 250 GM OF SUGAR, COVER IT AND KEEP ASIDE FOR 3 DAYS
  7. STRAIN THE AMLAS
  8. SPREAD THE SLICES ON PLATE, DRY THEM IN SUN FOR 2 DAYS. BOIL THE SYRUP TILL HONEY LIKE CONSISTENCY
  9. ROLL THE DRIED SLICES IN 2 TBSP OF POWDERED SUGAR.
  10. AMLA CANDY AND AMLA NECTAR IS READY
