ABOUT Palak Chicken RECIPE

A simple and healthy chicken cooked with spinach.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken ............. 250 gms
  2. Spinach ............. 2 cups (chopped)
  3. Onion ............. 1/2 cup (sliced)
  4. Green chillies .. 1-2
  5. Garlic paste ...... 1 tbsp
  6. Ginger paste .... 1/2 tbsp
  7. Tomato ............. 1 (chopped)
  8. Cinnamon stick .. 1" piece
  9. Cloves ............ 2-3
  10. Black cardamom ... 1
  11. Cumin powder ... 1 tsp
  12. Coriander powder .. 2 tsps
  13. Turmeric powder .. 1/2 tsp
  14. Garam masala powder ... 1/2 tsp
  15. Red chilli powder ... 1/4 tsp (optional)
  16. Salt ........ to taste
  17. Oil .... 3-4 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken and set it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the whole spices mentioned in the list.
  3. When they give out an aroma tip in the sliced onions and saute.
  4. Next add the ginger garlic paste, tomato and green chillies. Stir fry.
  5. Add the chicken pieces and the spice powders. Saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the spinach and salt. Stir fry for a minute.
  7. Simmer to cook on low flame. Sprinkle a little water if needed.
