Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 500 gms chicken
  2. Oil as required
  3. 2 medium onions diced small
  4. 1 capsicum diced small
  5. 8 garlic pods
  6. 2 tomatoes finely chopped
  7. Few pudina leaves
  8. 4 bunch palak
  9. 5 to 6 Green Chillies
  10. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  11. 1/2 teaspoon dhanya powder
  12. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  13. Turmeric
  14. few curry leaves
  15. Salt
  16. Kasuri Methi


  1. Wash the palak. Transfer it to a pan and cook the palak with green chillies till soft. Cool it. Grind it.
  2. In a cooker add the washed chicken. Saute till the water evaporates completely. Add little water and pressure cook it till it's cooked for 2 to 3 whistles.
  3. In another pan, add oil. Once heated add onions, garlic and saute. Add in capsicum and cook till it's soft.
  4. Add in chopped tomatoes. Fry it. Add pudina. Fry till the tomatoes are cooked to soft.
  5. Add in palak and green chili paste. Mix well. Add in red chilli powder, dhanya powder, garam masala, turmeric , salt and fry. Add water. Fry till the masalas are cooked and oil leaves.
  6. Add in the cooked chicken and fry for few more minutes.
  7. Add in Kasuri methi and curry leaves. Cook for couple of minutes.
  8. Once the gravy consistency is achieved turn off the flame and serve.
