Every kids love now a days lies in food. My little one relish eating pasta in any form may it be sphagette or lasagna or maccroni or regular pasta. I am sharing one of the most loved recipe in italian cuisine.

Penne pasta with cream

Ingredients to make Penne pasta with cream

  • 150 gram wholewheat pasta
  • 2 large onion finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato
  • 5 garlic finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Grated Cheese
  • 3 tsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Mixed Herbs
  • 2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 5-6 tsp full cream
  • 4-5 basil leaves (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Pasta seasoning (optional)

How to make Penne pasta with cream

  1. Take large vessel and add water, few drops of oil , salt and pasta. Cook it till al dante. And remove on a plate. Drizzle some oil to avoid pasta from sticking each other.
  2. In another pan take some butter and oil , add chopped onion and garlic and wait till it turns golden brown.
  3. Blanch tomato and make its puree. Add the puree into the pan and mix well.
  4. Add salt, herbs, chilli flakes and let the mixture leave oil.
  5. Next add pasta and gently mix it.
  6. Add cheese, cream and pasta seasoning along with basil leaves.
  7. Cover the lid till basil leaves shrinks in size and cheese melts. Serve the pasta with some olive oil and cream on top.

My Tip:

You can blanch tomato in same water with pasta.
