A simple chana recipe which is cooked everyday in Ramadan

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Kale Chane 1cup
  2. Ginger garlic paste 2tsp
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  5. Haldi powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Garam masala powder 1tsp
  7. Onion 2
  8. Green chillies 4
  9. Oil 2tbsp
  10. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  11. Coriander leaves chopped 1tsp


  1. Soak chana overnight with the baking soda in water
  2. In a cooker add washed chana and all the ingredients
  3. Add enough water so it covers the chana properly
  4. Cook high for 2 whistle
  5. Then for 15---20 minutes cook on slow heat
  6. Open the cooker and dry the water Sprinkle chopped coriander and serve with lemon

Instead of using baking soda kindly use moti kali elaichi which will do the job faster and tastefully .
