About Doddak (Thick Rawa Dosa) Recipe

This is a konkani breakfast dish.

Doddak (Thick Rawa Dosa)

Ingredients to make Doddak (Thick Rawa Dosa)

  • Rawa or semolina - 1 cup
  • Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  • onion- 1, chopped
  • Green chilli - 1, chopped
  • salt to taste

How to make Doddak (Thick Rawa Dosa)

  1. Soak rawa in water for 5 minutes. Drain all water. Add grated coconut, chopped onions, chopped green chilli and salt. Mix all and add little water if necessary. The batter has to be thick not liquid like other dosa batters.
  2. Pour a ladleful of batter on a hot greased tawa and pat with hand to spread. Cook on low flame for a while and turn when brown. Cook other side as well.
  3. Serve with chutney of your choice and a dollop of home made butter.
