A crispy and delicious instant dosa made with semolina, and served with some coconut chutney and sambhar

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For the dosa :
  2. Semolina - 1/2 cup
  3. Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  4. Maida - 1/4 th cup
  5. Chopped onion - 1
  6. Chopped green chillies - 2
  7. Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
  8. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Coriander leaves (handful)
  10. Curry leaves - 10
  11. Salt
  12. Refined oil/ghee


  1. Mix the semolina, Maida and rice flour together.
  2. Add rest of the ingredients to the above and add water to make a runny batter.
  3. Whisk well and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a pan and grease it, mix the dosa batter well and pour a ladle of the mixture into the hot tawa.
  5. The batter will form bubbles and gaps once it hits the hot pan so fill the gaps. Then add ghee/oil to the sides.
  6. Roast and cook on both sides and serve hot.
