It's a popular south indian delicacy. Its very simple, delicious and can be prepared instantly.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rava - 1/2 cup
  2. Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  3. Refined flour - 1/4 cup
  4. Chopped green chilli - 1-2
  5. Chopped ginger - small piece
  6. Chopped coriander - 1 tsp
  7. Chopped curry leaves - 1/2 tsp
  8. Chopped onions - 2 tbsp
  9. Curd - 1 Tbsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Butter / Oil for cooking


  1. In a large bowl add all dry ingredients along with onions, ginger, chillies and curd mix well and add required water to make a thin (pouring consistency) batter.
  2. Keep this batter aside for about 10 minutes.
  3. In the meantime heat a non stick flat griddle (dosa tava) and grease it with 3-4 drops of oil, rub it with tissue paper.
  4. Now give a good mix to the batter and pour over it dosa tava by a table spoon, like a splash on it, try to make it in round shape.
  5. Apply some oil on dosa and let it cook for 3 to 4 mins or till it done golden and crisp.
  6. Now carefully lift it from its side and roll with the help of spatula.
  7. Serve it with coconut chatni or with onion chatni.
