ABOUT Beetroot Raita RECIPE

A very refreshing and cool raita to steal your heart this summer

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup curd
  2. 1 small grated beetroot
  3. 2 chopped green chillies
  4. 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
  5. 1 tsp chana dal
  6. 1 tsp urad dal
  7. 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  8. 1/2 tsp Pudina powder
  9. 5 to 6 curry leaves
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk the curd.
  2. Take half the quantity of grated beetroot
  3. Add the grated beetroot in the curd
  4. Mix well.
  5. Now add salt , roasted cumin seeds powder and pudina powder
  6. Add the freshly chopped coriander leaves
  7. Mix well all together.
  8. Now heat little oil in a kadai, add the curry leaves and green chillies. Pour it on the curd
  9. Now add the chana dal and urad dal in the remaining oil and temper.
  10. Pour this too on the curd
  11. Add some grated beetroot and sprinkle some roasted cumin seeds powder.
  12. Refrigerate it for 1 hour
  13. Serve chilled
