ABOUT Dahi Aloo RECIPE

Dahi aloo or potatoes in a curd gravy, is a very common dish in UP and MP.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Baby potatoes 10
  2. Curd 2 cups mixed with one glass of water
  3. Cooking oil 2 tbsp
  4. jeera 1/2 tsp
  5. ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  7. turmeric powder 1 /2 tsp
  8. dhania powder 1 tsp
  9. Garam masala powder 1 /2 tsp
  10. salt 1 tsp or to taste
  11. Chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  12. Kastoori methi 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Clean and peel potatoes.Saute them in 1 tbsp oil in a wok for 5 -6 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in cooker add hing,jeera and ginger garlic paste.Add turmeric powder,chilli powder and potatoes.Saute them well.
  3. Now add curd and stir well.When it starts boiling add salt.Give one whistle to the cooker.
  4. Open the lid add garam masala powder and chopped coriander.Sprinkle kasoori methi powder.
  5. Serve with roti or parantha.
