Ingredients to make Dal Batti (Khandeshi style)

  • For flour
  • Whole wheat 4 cups
  • corn(maize) cereals 1 cup
  • For batties
  • Coarsly Grinded flour 2 cups
  • Turmuric powder 1tsp
  • oil 1 Tbsp
  • Ajwain(caraway seeds) 1/2 tsp
  • Eno fruit salt 1/2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • oil for frying

How to make Dal Batti (Khandeshi style)

  1. 4 CUP WHOLE WHEAT AND 1 CUP CORN CEREAL GRIND COARSLY KDEP ASIDE.
  2. PREPARE COARSLY GRINDED FLOUR,TURMURIC POWDER,SALT,AJWAIN SEEDS,OIL,ENO FRUIT SALT
  3. MIX ALL FLOUR, TURMURIC POWDER,SALT,OIL,ENO SALT,AJWAIN SEEDS.
  4. ADD WATER
  5. KNEAD SOFT DOUGH
  6. MAKE CYLINDER SHAPE BALLS
  7. GREASE PRESSURE COOKER SEPARATOR WITH OIL AND PUT ALL BATTIES IN THAT
  8. PLACE SEPARATOR IN COOKER
  9. PRESSURE COOK 4 WHISTLES
  10. AFTER COOKER COOLS DOWN,REMOVE SEPARATOR.
  11. SLICE ALL BATTIES AROUND 1 INCH
  12. HEAT OIL IN KADHAI.
  13. DIP FRY ALL BATTIES IN HOT OIL ON MEDIUM FLAME
  14. FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN COLOUR .NOW BATTIES ARE READY.
