About Gujrati kadhi Recipe

Gujrati kadhi is different from other kadhies because its taste sweet and sour.

Gujrati kadhi

Ingredients to make Gujrati kadhi

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 3 spoon gramflour
  • 3 cup water
  • 1 spoon ginger- green chilli paste
  • 2 spoon grated juggeri
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/2 spoon turmeric
  • 1 piece cinnamon
  • For tempering -
  • 1 spoon oil
  • 1/2 spoon mustered seeds
  • 2 dry red chilli
  • 1 pinch asafoetida
  • 2 spoon chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Gujrati kadhi

  1. Take yogurt in a wok .
  2. Add gramflour, ginger -green chilli paste, salt and turmeric.
  3. Whisk it well so there are no lumps.
  4. Then add 3 cup water and mix well.
  5. Put it on medium flame to boil while stirring continuously.
  6. Add cinnamon stick and juggeri and cookfor 15 minutes on low flame.
  7. Keep stirring at regular intervals.
  8. Prepare the tempering heat the tadka pan and add oil into it.
  9. Put musterd seeds, red chilli, curry leaves and asafoetida.
  10. Saute on low flame till turn light golden colour.
  11. Pour the tempering into gujrati kadhi.
  12. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves .
