This Italian pound cake is an easy cake recipe made in one bowl.

Italian Pound Cake

Ingredients to make Italian Pound Cake

  • all purpose flour 1 1/2 cup
  • Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • oil 1/2 cup
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • egg 2 numbers
  • sugar 1 cup
  • zest of one lemon

How to make Italian Pound Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, line a 9X5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper and apply the oil and keep it aside.
  2. Take a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, oil and sugar, add the eggs and lemon zest and mix everything together.
  3. Now add the flour, salt, vanilla extract and baking powder and mix until it is all incorporated.
  4. Pour the batter into loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown on top or until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean and fully cooked through.
  5. Allow it to cool down and serve.
