Mawa Kachori is an exotic dessert. This is a delicacy from state of Rajasthan. Rajasthan is known for their rich food andand culture. Pastry filled with aromatic mixture of mawa and nuts makes a very festive dessert.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For cruts.1cup all-purpose flour
  2. Approx. 1/2 cup of mango puri
  3. Ghee 2 tablespoon
  4. Pinch of orange colour
  5. For filling
  6. 1 cup of Mava
  7. 1/4cup nuts
  8. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  9. 3 tablespoon powder sugar
  10. For syrup
  11. 1 cup sugar
  12. 1/2cup water
  13. Saffron 4_5strands


  1. Mix flour, and ghee in a bowl, making firm soft adding mango puri slowly as needed. 
  2. Knead the dough until the dough becomes soft and pliable.
  3. Set the dough aside and cover it with a damp cloth
  4. For syrup
  5. Boil the sugar and water on medium heat, as sugar comes to boil add saffron, and cardamom on medium heat until syrup is about one thread 
  6. For filling
  7. In nonstick pan add mava .
  8. Add nuts and cardmom powder.mix well stir till removes ghee from edges of pan
  9. Cool it .then add powder sugar mix well
  10. Making kachori
  11. Divide dough into equal parts
  12. Roll each ball into 2 inch diameter
  13. Take one of the rolled dough in your palm and place 1 tablespoon filling in the center.
  14. Pull the edges of dough to wrape fillng.
  15. Proceed to make balls.
  16. Heat oil in pan om medium flame.
  17. Slowely drops the kachoris in pan.
  18. After they are puff.slowely turns over.
  19. It will take 5_6minute.fry it will golden brown in colur.
  20. For serving
  21. Just before serving drizzel the kachori with 1 tablespoon syrup
  22. Garnishing with dry fruits.
  23. Kachori can be serve without syrup.
