Its a beautiful delicacy of odisha..its one of the prasad from chhapan bhog&offered to lord jagannath as a prasad at puri temple in odisha.

Ingredients to make Parijata

  • all purpose flour 1cup
  • curd 1 cup
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water half cup

How to make Parijata

  1. IN A MIXING BOWL I HAVE ADDED 1 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR & 1 CUP CURD
  2. MIX IT PROPERLY,BATTER CONSISTENCY IS NOT SO MUCH RUNNY OR NOT SO MUCH THICK MAKE A SMOOTH LUMP FREE
  3. THEN COVER IT & REST IT AT LEAST 2 TO 3 HRS
  4. AFTER 2 TO 3 HRS REMOVE THE LID & MIX THE BATTER FOR FEW MINS
  5. NOW HEAT OIL IN A KARAHI & TAKE BATTER MAKE SMALL AMOUNT OF BATTER &DRIP INTO THE OIL
  6. NOW MAKE SUGAR SYRUP WITH ADDING 1 CUP SUGAR &HALF WATER
  7. IT'S A 2 STRING CONSISTENCY OF SUGAR SYRUP
  8. FRY ALL THE PARIJATA IN A LOW FLAME
  9. WHEN IT'S GETTING GOLDEN BROWN COLOUR STRAIN FROM THE HOT OIL
  10. NOW ALL FRIED PARIJATA IN A WARM SUGAR SYRUP
  11. MIX IT,&COATED IT VERY WELL
  12. WHEN THE SUGAR SYRUP IS WELL COATED AND &DRY SWITCH OFF THE FLAME& COOL DOWN
