Very simple but tasty teatime snak

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled potatoes 4 medium size
  2. Peanut 1 table spoon
  3. Sliced small pieces of coconut (optional)
  4. Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Ginger Garlic paste 2 teaspoon
  6. Very finely chopped green cillis
  7. Chopped coriander leave 1 table spoon
  8. Besan or gram flour 3/4 cup or about 7 table spoon
  9. Pinch Of Baking Soda
  10. Salt as required sugar if required
  11. Water
  12. 1/4 teaspoon nigella seeds
  13. Mustard oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel and mash potatoes add salt.
  2. Heat kadai dry roast the peanuts and keep aside
  3. Heat 2 teaspoon oil fry coconuts and keep aside then add ginger garlic paste slightly sugar (optional) to the oil and mix
  4. Add cumin powder and fry
  5. Add mash potatoes and stir to mix properly .Then add roasted peanuts and fried coconut slices and mix
  6. Next add chopped coriander leaves and mix. Potato mix is ready
  7. Now in a mixing bowl take besan, pinch of baking soda, nigella seeds (optional) and salt mix well
  8. Add little water and mix
  9. Then add more water blend the mixture properly to make a smooth thick batter.
  10. Now make small sized round patties with the potato mix
  11. Deep each potato patty in the batter and deep fry in hot mustard oil.
  12. Drain excess oil and serve hot.

It goes well with green chutney.
