Dudh puli is an authentic dessert recipe of Bengal. It is very easy to make and truly delectable.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup shredded fresh coconut
  2. 3/4 cup semolina
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 3-4 green cardamoms crushed

Instructions

  1. Take a thick bottom pan, add coconut, 1/2 cup sugar and semolina all together and stir continuously on low heat.
  2. Add the grounded green cardamoms and continue to stir on low flame till the mixture no longer sticks to the sides of the pan.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and cool the mixture just a bit.
  4. Make small puli's or dumplings with the mixture and keep aside.
  5. Now boil the milk and 1/2 cup sugar on low heat till it is reduced to almost 2/3.
  6. Now increase the heat and add the dumplings into boiling milk.
  7. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes on medium to low flame and remove from heat.
  8. Now it's ready to serve.
