Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For gujhiya bori-
  2. 2 cup maida
  3. 4 big spoon ghee
  4. Lukewarm water as needed
  5. For filling-
  6. 150 gm mawa
  7. 1/2 cup rawa
  8. 1/2 cup sugar powder
  9. 1/2 cup dry coconut powder
  10. 1/2 small spoon cardamom powder
  11. Oil for deep frying
  12. Aluminum foil for tying bori


  1. Mix nicely ghee in maida.
  2. Kneed medium soft dough of it with lukewarm water
  3. Cover it and keep it aside.
  4. For filling-
  5. Add small spoon ghee in a kadhai and heat it on low flame
  6. Add rawa into it and roast it till light golden colour and keep aside into a plate.
  7. Roast mawa also in the same kadhai .
  8. Now take it out in another plate.
  9. Now in a big bowl mix rawa and mawa and also add cardamom powder,sugar powder and coconut powder into it and mix properly.
  10. Keep it aside for cooling.
  11. Make stripes of aluminum foil of 3 inch long and 1 inch broad.
  12. For bori gujhiya-
  13. Mix the dough of maida nicely.
  14. Make puri of big size of ball of it.
  15. Cut it in square shape.
  16. Now cut small rectangle stripes from it.
  17. Take 1 spoon drymaida and water in a small bowl.
  18. Spread the paste of maida water on the border of stripe.
  19. Keep 1 spoon of filling in between of it
  20. Close it from other side press its sides nicely.
  21. Make design with the help of fork on upper side of it.
  22. Give it shape of bori with help of fingers
  23. Make the design with fork on other side also.
  24. Tie it with the ribbon of aluminum foil.
  25. Make all the gujhiya like this.
  26. Cover it with a cloth.
  27. Heat oil in a kadhai.
  28. Fry it on medium flame.
  29. Use it by keeping it in air tight container for 1 week.
