Steamed strawberry Coco Lotus

ABOUT Steamed strawberry Coco Lotus RECIPE

It is basically Kerala's traditional sweet delicacy with new taste. It is my own creation which gives you a rich taste of coconut.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For melting Jaggery
  2. Little water
  3. Jaggery 200 gm.
  4. For Filling
  5. Ghee 2 tsp
  6. Grated coconut 1 cup
  7. Melted Jaggery
  8. Cardamom powder ½ tsp
  9. For dough
  10. Rice flour 1 cup
  11. Boiled water
  12. 6-7 crushed strawberry
  13. For RABRI
  14. 1 ltr. Milk
  15. 2 tbs sugar
  16. 1 tbs grated coconut
  17. 1tsp Cardamom powder
  18. Some almond for decoration

Instructions

  1. Firstly boil the water and put jaggery in it let it melt properly.
  2. Now in a pan heat the ghee and put grated coconut in it,roast it well then mix the melted jaggery in it.
  3. In a bowl put rice flour, crushed strawberry, and oil. Make dough by putting little hot water.
  4. In the meanwhile put milk on the slow flame for rabri and keep stirring until it becomes thick.
  5. In a big vessel put some water and keep a seive on it.
  6. Take dough with the help of little oil make a pettle of lotus fill the coconut mixture in it .
  7. Now join the other pettle as shown in the photos, and make flowers.
  8. Put all these flowers on the seive and steam it at least 12 to 15 minutes.
  9. Now put Cardamom powder,sugar and grated coconut in the rabri.
  10. In a plate put rabri and arrange the lotus flowers on the rabri and decorate it with Almonds and grated coconut.
