ABOUT Better butter brownie RECIPE

This is a special receipe with which I start the 3 rd Aniversary celebrations of better butter with the whole brownie made and baked by my 10 year old son. What a start to celebrate!

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Apf/ maida - 1/2 cup
  2. Hersheys unsweetened Coco powder - 1/4 cup
  3. Morde chocolate - 40 grams(chopped into peices)
  4. Butter - 40 grams
  5. Unflavoured Oil - 2 tbsps
  6. Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  7. White Castor sugar - 1/2 cup
  8. Eggs - 3
  9. Vanila extract - 1 tsp
  10. Pinch of salt (if using unsalted butter)
  11. Baking powder - 1/2 tsp


  1. Butter,dust flour, line and keep your baking tray or tart pan ready. I've used a 9 " tart pan here.
  2. Preheat oven to 180°
  3. Sift the apf, Coco powder with salt and baking powder. Keep aside.
  4. Firstly melt the chocolate and butter using the bain- marie method. (double boiler)
  5. Add the brown sugar at the end to it and stir. Switch off the gas
  6. Whisk eggs using egg beater on medium high speed and keep adding the castor sugar little at a time. Whisk till you get a pale creamy texture.
  7. Now add the cooled melted chocolate butter mixture in a stream continue whisking on low speed
  8. Next goes the oil, Vanila essence while you continue whisking.
  9. Now add the sifted Coco powder and apf while you whisk till just combined. Can use a spatula and mix to combine
  10. Bake it at 170° for 30 minutes.
  11. Check in the last few minutes with a skewer. Should have a crusty meringue layer, and crumbs sticking to the skewer. That's the sign.
  12. Ready to indulge. But wait for 5 minutes to cool then unmould and cut through the crust. Lovely moist, cakey brownie ready.
