ABOUT Strogonoff De Frango (Chicken Strogonoff) RECIPE

This is a Brazilian chicken cooked with milk, cream and sauces. It is served with plain rice and fried crispy potato sticks.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken 200 gms (boneless)
  2. Champignon (preserved button mushrooms) 5-6
  3. Tomato puree 2 tbsp
  4. Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp
  5. Milk 1/4 cup
  6. Mustard Sauce 1 tsp
  7. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp
  8. Cream 3-4 tbsp
  9. Oil 2-3 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the chicken and cut into small pieces or strips.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute the chicken until it changes the colour. ( 2-3 Mins)
  3. Add the tomato puree, salt and simmer. Now add the sauces, mushrooms and mix well.
  4. Stir in the milk. The quantity depends on how much gravy you want. Finally add the cream and give it a stir.
  5. Serve on a bed of plain rice with crispy potato sticks.
