ABOUT Mini donuts RECIPE

Donuts are very popular sweet or snacks that growing popularity all over the world. It's kind of fried or baked doughnut shaped snack flavored with sugar or chocolate. My version of donut is very simple to make which I glazed with sugar syrup.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour 3 cups
  2. Dry yeast 3/4th teaspoon
  3. Regular sugar 2 tablespoon
  4. Warm Milk 1 cup
  5. Warm milk 1/2 cup more to dissolve yeast
  6. Salt a pinch
  7. unsalted butter 60 grams
  8. Milk powder 3 teaspoon
  9. Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  10. Large egg 1
  11. Icing sugar 2 cups for glazing
  12. Whole milk 1/4 th cup for glazing
  13. Icing sugar 1 tablespoon for dusting

Instructions

  1. Warm 1/2 cup of milk with sugar and mix with yeast. Keep aside to activate the yeast.
  2. Sieve together flour and milk powder.
  3. Add salt and mix well with the sieved flour mixture.
  4. When yeast mixture activities, add one egg and mix.
  5. In another pan warm 1 cup of milk and butter
  6. Now add the yeast mixture to the flour and milk powder mixture. Mix gently with a spatula.
  7. Then add the butter mixture and vanilla essence. Make a very soft and sticky dough.
  8. Cover and keep aside for about an hour to double the dough in size.
  9. Punch and rest the dough for another hour.
  10. Arrange a mini donut mould. Preheat oven at 160 degree Centigrade for 10 minutes.
  11. Now take small portion if the dough, roll into a ball and flatten a little bit. Cut in the centre of the disk with a bottle cover or cookies cutter.
  12. Arrange these mini donuts to the mould.
  13. Brush these donuts with milk.
  14. Bake them in the oven for about 15 minutes or till light golden brown.
  15. Take out from the oven and keep in a wired rack.
  16. Make now the glazing. Heat 1/4 th cup milk.
  17. Add 2 cups of icing sugar and mix well.
  18. When sugar dissolves completely remove from heat.
  19. Now coat each donut with the warm syrup and keep in the wire rack.
