  • For 4 person Boiled egg 4(8 Devils)
  • potato 4 medium size
  • onion 1 medium (1/2 sliced & 1/2 For paste)
  • ginger 1/2"
  • garlic 5 pods
  • Red cilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  • Green cilli 2
  • One blended egg (or a batter made of 3 table spoon besan )
  • salt as required
  • Bread crumbs 2 cups for 8 devils
  • oil for deep frying

How to make Egg Devil a street food from West Bengal

  1. MAKE A PASTE OF GINGER GARLIC ONION AND CILLI
  2. MASH BOIL POTATOES
  3. ADD SALT AND CUMIN POWDER
  4. HEAT OIL
  5. ADD ONION SLICES
  6. FRY ADD CHOPPED GREEN CILLI
  7. ADD MASHED POTATOES ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE
  8. ADD RED CILLI POWDER MIX WELL
  9. CUT BOILED EGGS INTO 2 PIECES COVER A HALF EGG WITH MASHED POTATOES
  10. DEEP IT IN TO EGG WASH (OR MAKE A BATTER WITH BESAN AND USE IT INSTEAD OF EGGWASH)
  11. ROLL ON BREADCRUMBS
  12. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL
  13. FRY ON MEDIUM FLAME UNTIL BROWNISH IN COLOUR
