This is very famous south indian dish with a touch of Chinese flavor

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 cup parboiled rice
  2. 1 cup urad dal
  3. 1 teaspoon Kasturi methi
  4. Salt to taste
  5. For potato chutney
  6. 1 cup boiled mashed potato
  7. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  8. 2 Chopped green chili
  9. 1 tablespoon oil
  10. 1 Tablespoon chopped garlic
  11. 5 Curry Leaves
  12. 1 tablespoon musterd seeds
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 1/4teaspoon turmeric powder
  15. For red chutney
  16. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  17. 1 cup chopped tomato
  18. 1/4 cup coconut powder
  19. 1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder
  20. 1/4 teaspoon turmirc powder
  21. 1 Tablespoon chopped garlic
  22. Salt
  23. 1 teaspoon Musterd seeds
  24. 5 Curry Leaves
  25. 2 tablespoon Shezwan chutney
  26. 2 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. For dosa batter
  2. Soak rice and urad dal in separate bowls for 4-6 hours. and strain it .
  3. Drain and grind rice and then grind urad Dal and kasturi methi to make smooth batter and keep it aside overnight to ferment.
  4. To prepare chutney
  5. Heat oil in a pan add the musterd seeds, curry leaves, chopped garlic, onion and saute for few minutes after that add mashed potato, salt, turmeric powder and mix well and cook it for few minutes
  6. To prepare red chutney
  7. In a pan heat some oil add onion and cook for few minutes then add chopped tomato cook it well add some coconut powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix it well and cook for few minutes
  8. Keep it aside for some time then grind it by adding some water.
  9. Take another pan and heat the oil for some time add musterd seeds , chopped garlic, curry leaves, saute them and add this on the grinded chutney
  10. To prepare dosa
  11. Heat some butter in a pan and spread the dosa batter over it.pour the butter around the dosa and cook well.
  12. Then apply shezwan chutney and add some potato chutney in the center and fold it
  13. And serve hot with sambar and red chutney
