Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cup rice
  2. 1/2 cup urad daal
  3. 1/2 tsp meethi
  4. Water for soaking
  5. for toppings
  6. 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
  7. 1/2 cup tomato finely chopped
  8. 1/2 cup capsicum finely chopped
  9. 1/2 cup finely chhoped carrot
  10. few curry leaves roughly chopped
  11. 1 tsp green chili finely chopped
  12. Salt according to taste

Instructions

  1. firstly, in a large bowl, soak 2 cups of rice and 1/2 cup urad daal, methi seeds for atleast 4-5 hours.
  2. transfer the soaked urad dal and rice into blender and blend to smooth and fluffy batter.
  3. Keep it in a large bowl and keep aside
  4. cover and ferment in a warm place for 7-8hours.
  5. After that add salt to the batter and mix well
  6. heat griddle and pour a ladleful of the batter on it and spread it in a circular thick motion.then spread the prepared vegetable mixture on the surface of the dosa
  7. Add oil on the side of the uttpam cover it with a lid and cook on medium flame.
  8. let it fry until the base of the dosa turns golden brown.
  9. Serve veg uttpam with coconut chutney
