Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. urad dal 1 cup
  2. rice 2 cups
  3. onion 2 sliced thinly
  4. tomatoes 1 sliced thinly
  5. salt
  6. zeera 1 tablespoon
  7. ginger 1 inch
  8. red chilli 3-4
  9. coriander leaves finely chopped
  10. green chilli finely chopped

Instructions

  1. soak the urad dal and rice the previous night and grind to a fine paste in the morning...rest it for 1-2hr
  2. consistency for this should be like dhokla...add salt to it
  3. make a paste using zeera,ginger and red chilli...dont mske a smooth paste
  4. now add this paste to the batter and mix well..add salt
  5. heat a tawa and put a generous quantity of batter and spread it
  6. now add from the top sliced onion,green chilli,coriander leaves and sliced tomatoes
  7. pour refined oil from the side and on the top
  8. flip it once and cook it in simmer gas for another couple of mins
  9. serve hot with chutney or sauce
