Spicy mutton cooked with spinach

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mutton 1 Kg
  2. spinach 2 small bunches
  3. ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
  4. turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Red chilli powedr 1 tsp or as per taste
  6. coriander powder 2 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  8. curd 1 cup
  9. onion 3 - 4 sliced
  10. Whole garam masala: 4 green eliachi,
  11. 2black elaichi,
  12. 1 star anise,
  13. a piece of javitri,
  14. 1 inch cinnamon stick,
  15. bay leaves 3 - 4,
  16. 6-8 cloves
  17. onion barista for garnish
  18. coriander leaves a handful


  1. Wash the mutton under running water and simillarly wash the spinach nicely and finely chop it
  2. In a pan heat oil (as per ur lyking , I like a little more oil in non veg dishes) and the whole garam masala. Cook for a min
  3. Now add the sliced onions and cook until translucent
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and stir add the washed mutton and cook for 5 -6 mins
  5. Now add all the spices
  6. Cook covered till the mutton is more than half cooked
  7. Nw add the curd and mix. Add d spinach and give a good mix
  8. Dont cover and cook after adding the spinach
  9. Cook for another 10 mins .
  10. Garnish wid coriander leaves and onion barista
