ABOUT Methi Malai Paneer RECIPE

It is a flavour full Paneer dish. And little different from the Punjabi paneer methi malai.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer 200 g
  2. Kasuri methi 1 table spoon
  3. Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  4. Milk 3/4 cup
  5. Ginger 1/2"
  6. Garlic 4 Cloves
  7. Onion 1 small size
  8. Finely chopped onion 1 small size
  9. Green cilli 2
  10. 1 table spoon vegetable oil + 1 teaspoon ghee mix for cooking
  11. Garam mashala powder 1 teaspoon
  12. Bay leaf 1
  13. Shahi jeera 1/2 teaspoon
  14. sugar 2 teaspoon
  15. Kashmeri red cilli powder 1 teaspoon (optional)
  16. Salt as required
  17. Chopped Coriander


  1. In a mixing bowl take fresh cream and milk, mix and soak paneer pieces into it for about 15 minutes
  2. Make a paste of ginger, garlic ,onion, green cilli and Kasuri methi
  3. Heat oil and ghee. Add bay leaf and shahi jeera and fry.
  4. Add mashala mix paste and stir
  5. Add sugar, salt and kashmeri red cilli powder and mix well.
  6. Add paneer with the milk and fresh cream and stir lightly
  7. Cover and cook for 10 minutes
  8. Then remove the cover sprinkle garam mashala powder and cover again.
  9. Remove from the heat. Leave it for few minutes with cover.
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leave and serve .
