Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250 gram pointed gaurd/ parval
  2. Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  3. Green chili 2
  4. Red chili powder 1tsp
  5. Onion seeds 1tsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1tbsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Sliced onions 1 no.
  9. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  10. Mustard oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Scratch the parval, peel and wash.
  2. Soak the poppy seeds for 15 minutes then make a paste with green chili.
  3. Apply 1/2 tsp salt and turmeric powder keep aside.
  4. Heat oil fry parval keep aside.
  5. In the same pan crackle the onion seeds fry sliced onions, add parval red chili powder and salt. Stir and mix it well.
  6. Now add poppy seeds paste add 1/2 cup water and sugar cover and cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
  7. Switch off the gas. Serve hot with boiled rice or chapati.
