Rice kheer is traditional recipe of India and is famous in all states of India. Though method and textures differs from place to place

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 1/4 cup
  2. Milk 1 litre
  3. Saffron 1 pinch
  4. Sugar 1/3 cup or to tastr
  5. Dry fruits as per requirements
  6. Cardamom powder 1/4 tea spoon

Instructions

  1. Soak rice for 1/2 an hour
  2. Boil milk , add soaked rice and let it cook on very low flame
  3. Stir continuously because it has tendency to spill out
  4. When rice gets tender and milk thickens, just mash a little bit and add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and chopped dry fruits
  5. Serve hot or chilled, both way it tastes good
