It's a traditional bengali recipe from Kolkata.In this preparation, prawn cooked in mustard and coconut water and cream filled inside coconut shell.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250g prawns
  2. 1 coconut (keep shell, Water, cream separately)
  3. 1/2cup coconut water
  4. 1 midium size onion chopped
  5. 1tsp ginger garlic paste
  6. 1tsp green chilli paste
  7. 1tbsp kasundi or mustard paste
  8. 2TBSP FRESH CREAM
  9. 1tbsp Butter
  10. 2TBSP MUSTARD OIL
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry prawns in mustard oil.keep it aside.
  2. Add butter with rest of the Oil, fry onion, then add ginger garlic paste and chilli paste.cook for sometimes.
  3. Now add fried prawn, coconut Water, Cream,kasundi, Salt and sugar.mix them well.
  4. Transfer this mixture into coconut shell.cover the mouth and microwave it for 5mints.
  5. Daab chingri is ready to serve now.garnish with coriander leaves and serve it with hot white rice.
